PGP, or Pretty Good Privacy, is an encryption program that helps to encrypt files and decrypt emails, directories, folders, and even entire disk partitions with a single click.

Using the application, users are able to encrypt a message against malicious viewers, browser-based threats, or other spyware. The message can then be send to a verified recipient who is able to decrypt the message.

PGP is often used to manage large amounts of personal data, financial transactions, or other sensitive information. For decades, PGP has served as the predominant methods of end-to-end encryption for email and text communications.

PGP is meant for use by technical professionals, which may make it hard for laymen to use proficiently. Users need a basic understanding of how directories, files, and encryption works to adequately use the service.

PGP keys are continuously updated in order to avoid continuous developments made my malicious attackers.
